YES Vinyasa yoga classes
In Y.E.S. we call it the “Dance of breath with body”. Some say our class is a workout that changes your body - if you survive it. However, we have categorized the classes into three catogories to suit your needs:
elements * flow ** bliss ***
* easiest ** gentle *** more challenge
elements - These are classes that cater for the newbies. You’ll learn the technique of Ujjayi pranayama, and the incorporation of it into the movements with the correct inhalation and exhalation. Some of the poses or sequence that you can expect are Surya Namaskar A and B, basic standing asanas such as Tikonasana (triangles), Uttanasana (forward extensions), Virabhadrasana (warriors), etc. ELEMENTS aim to open up the hamstrings, which are one of the fundamental openings of the body. You’ll understand the basic, physical benefits of practicing yoga as well.
flow : Although this is an Intermediate level pratice, beginners are generally welcome, too. Expect a ’flowing’ Vinyasa practice that links one asana to the other in a seamless transition with proper breath control. The sequences are generally an adaptation of the Mysore Ashtanga Yoga.
bliss: This Advance level practice is a variation of Mysore Ashtanga Yoga with more challenging arm balances, inversions and backbends at a stronger pace. More pranayama techniques, such as Kapalabathi and Nadi Shodana, will be taught.
