Monday, Dec 3
From Yin to Yang Yoga - The Path of Integration
The Dynamics of the Earth
9.00am – 11.30am
This is a practice where one moves from a Yin Practice to a Yang Practice. In this series, we start by being close to the floor and slowly moving into the dynamics of various standing postures. It helps in roots in the feet and strengthens the lower charkas.

Enhancing Kidney Chi – The Mother Organ that nourishes all others
1.00pm – 3.30pm
Kidneys are the primary source of our primordial constitution. When we are born, our primordial chi comes through our parents and are stored in both the Kidney. The Kidney comes in two, not by co-incidence, but it demonstrate the importance to the human body as the primordial chi is stored. As we age, this chi in the kidney slowly depletes and it is reflected physically in have weak joints and back problem. Kidney chi is also the first to suffer when one is highly stressed and does not gets enough to rest.

In this workshop, you will be working on a sequent of yin yoga postures based on the channel of the Kidney meridians to restore the kidney chi.

Awakening of the Spirit
Energy is cultivated by asana practice, by it needs to be re-absorbed back to the organs through the process of quieting down. This is a series of pranayma practice, which promotes greater breathing capacity and enhances higher level of energy in the body. It also includes a short session of Yoga Nidra chanting and meditation.

Tuesday, Dec 4
From Yin to Yang Yoga - The Path of Integration
Opening Up to the Sky
9.00am – 11.30am
This is a practice where one moves from a Yin Practice to a Yang Practice. In this series, we prepare the spine to move towards backbends. It is a highly dynamic work on both upper and lower back. We will be looking at grounding both the feet and the palm for full backbends.

Detoxifying the body through Liver Meridian
1.00pm – 3.30pm
Liver is the function which detoxifies the body. It dispels toxin and promotes production of new blood cells.

Liver is the organ of the “spring” season. Spring is the time where all beings come to life. Therefore, according to the TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), Liver promotes the disposition of chi in the body. It primarily facilitates channeling the chi in all direction. However, it has a primary tendency to move chi upwards. If Liver chi is deficient, one will tend to find swelling effects in the body. Emotionally, the liver holds our anger. When balance, it promotes compassion.

In this workshop, you will be taught the meridian pathway of the liver to promote detoxification of the body.

About Victor Chng
Victor met Paul Grilley – the founder of Yin Yoga in Dec 2004 and has completed a teacher training with Paul on Yin Yoga and Anatomy for Yoga. He continues to study with Paul and Sarah Power on a residential yoga teacher training program at San Francisco in Feb 2007. Victor is greatly in-depth to his teachers on giving him permission to teach Yin Yoga and to continue exploring this path with his own intuitive knowledge.
